I'm Colorado mountain raised and PNW educated with a severe case of the travel bug. Somehow, I found myself in Pennsylvania growing organic veggies for a living -and a lifestyle-for five years. A desire for mountains, good food, and a change of pace brought me to Seattle for a little bit. And proving that "the only thing in life that's guaranteed is change", I'm in transition again. For the moment that means spending time on Colorado's western slope in a bitty town called Hotchkiss. I'll let you know what comes next.
I like to cook, I like to write, and I'm slowly learning the art of food photography. My cooking is guided by the seasons and inspired by the farm.
My original blog started as a way to keep in contact with my friends and family in faraway places as I began my life as a farmer. It continues to evolve with every season. In the endless expanse of the food-blogosphere, I hope to find a unique place at the intersection of farm and kitchen.
